Brindabellas & beyond | Alex Kosmas and Janet Coker
Brindabellas and beyond is an exhibition showcasing the works of Melbourne based artists Alex Kosmas and Janet Coker.
Kosmas’ recent works are a result of a 2018 residency undertaken at Strathnairn Arts Association. Also included is a selection of older works created by Kosmas dating back to 1985. The works in the exhibition provide the audience with a brief overview of various themes and concepts by Kosmas over the last three decades, as well as demonstrating his skill in his chosen mediums of bronze and ceramics.
Coker is showing a group of prints made in 1986 based on the Brindabellas. These show her mastery of lithography and demonstrate her natural affinity for the graphic line. The works are commanding and reveal Cokers’ love of Brindabella landscape.
