ASHLEY CULLEN | NEW BODY OF WORK | GOD’S LOOSE TOOTH: LULLABIES, MYTHS AND MADNESS
Energetic, gestural and expressive, Ashley Cullen’s solo exhibition God’s Loose Tooth explores the messy aspects of being human. Cullen combines scrawling linework with textured paint to generate an immediacy that speaks to conditions of impulse and chaos. Cullen’s vivid use of colour and swift brushwork blend together to examine the tenuous dynamics between composure, control and unrestrained emotion. At its core, God’s Loose Tooth navigates intuitive forces that govern us beyond rational thought.

JULY PROGRAM
School Holiday Pinch Pots and Pasta Workshops
Looking for something indoors and interesting for the kids to do? On Thursday and Friday of both weeks Pinch Pots and Pasta classes at Strathnairn Arts - are now open for bookings! Making your very own pinch pots is a fabulous introduction to ceramics! During this 1 hour workshop the kids can create their very own small bowl, spoon, spice dish, mug or plate with the help and guidance from a Strathnairn Arts Ceramic Artist.
The workshop includes materials and firing and the work will be ready for pick up a few weeks later. Individual pasta lunch boxes will also be provided for the classes with a piece of fruit, drink and dessert. Parents are welcome to stay and watch, drop and go or have lunch at Cafe Stepping Stone while you wait!
Dates: Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd July and Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd July (2 workshop times each day)

Strathnairn Arts presents SQUARES 2021 the 15th People’s Choice Exhibition/Competition. Our annual community callout for SQUARES 2021 is open! If you live in Australia you are eligible to enter.
