An exhibition of recent wood-fired ceramic work by Craig Edwards.
Craig incorporates local materials into his clay bodies or glazes. All work in this exhibition have been fired at Strathnairn using the atmosphere of the ‘ground hog’ wood kiln to bring out the expressive qualities of the glaze and clay. The wood firing process deposits ash onto his ceramic work and with the heat and flame of the wood kiln, it incorporates itself into the surface of the object. Craig’s work is inspired by the landscape and sky over Wirrajuri and Ngunnawal country.
