Complex Weavers (CW) is a global organisation of weavers which is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of hand weaving, to encourage weavers to develop their own creative styles, to inspire through research, documentation, and the sharing of innovative ideas.

Cartography of Cloth is being run under the banner of Complex Weavers. Complex Weavers is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of handweaving, to encourage weavers to develop their own creative styles, to inspire through research, documentation, and the sharing of innovative ideas.
Complex Weavers is an international organisation with weavers from around the world coming together to share, inspire and motivate other weavers.
"Complexity" is the biennial juried CW exhibition. "Cartography of Cloth” is the first ever, Australian Complex Weavers members only, exhibition.
The proposal was first put to the Complex Weavers Executive Board in 2018, so it has been an exhibition 3 years in the making. A total of 20 Australian weavers are submitting works for this juried exhibition.
